Post-Modern Yule

Me: Hon? While you're mixing up the martinis, set some aside so I can make an offering.
The Spousal Unit: Spirits like martinis?
Me: I think they appreciate being included. "I'll have whatever you're having."

If I'm actually running an event, I make an effort to make the offerings more mainstream. Or, if I'm offering to a specific deity, I'll give some thought to what particular type of drink they might appreciate.

But, I like the ease of simply making an offering from whatever we're drinking, even if the drink in question is not traditional. It seems more sensible, and it makes Heathenism more a part of our lives, rather than unnaturally setting it apart

I've been trying to remember my dreams this Yule, since I believe that they give hints to what's to come in the future year, but other than one very vivid and marvelous dream right at the start of Yule, I haven't been able to remember them at all. I've been sooooo lazy this Yule, I've needed some time off to recharge BADLY, and I seem to be getting it.
