Modern Heathen

I've almost not quite made up my mind to attend a local Samhain ritual. I'm got a really strong urge to participate in ritual in other people. Also, I won't know anyone there and I'd like to expand my social circle a bit. It sure beats the bar scene.

Actually, somewhat unusually for a Heathen, I like participating in ecumenical Pagan events. I started out with a public, ecumenical Pagan group so I've very comfortable with that environment.

I do like the other people present to be more or less on my wavelength. Not in the sense of honoring the Germanic Gods, but in the sense of taking what they do seriously and treating the event and themselves and the Gods with respect. Or what I deem respect. I find most Neo-Pagan whimsy very jarring. (grin)

Doesn't happen as often as I like, but I keep trying. Wish me luck.
